Parish Life
We make the potential problem of being a smaller parish into a strength.
We can truthfully say that everyone who comes has a chance to be involved and nearly everyone grabs the opportunity with both hands!
Few parishes are likely to have so many involved with the ministries of Reader, Server and Eucharistic Minister. Music, with the able assistance of our longstanding organist Margaret, is another ministry central to our parish life
Everyone welcomes new people to our Masses, and everyone is welcome!
Members of our community come together during the week for lectio divina and other kinds of study and faith-sharing. Days of Recollection also form an important part of our spiritual life together.
Our Parish Advisory Council is open to all parishioners and serves the spiritual, material and social needs of the parish.
A feature of our parish is the hospitality we are pleased to offer, often through the co-operation of the management of Llanarth Court Hospital, who regularly make facilities within the main Llanarth Court building available for functions ranging from regular Parish Coffee after Mass, to the reception organised for the Archdiocesan Ministries Mass where our deacon in training Tony Mulcahy received the office of Acolyte, an important milestone in his training.
Fr Nick James, our parish priest, also looks after the parish in Monmouth, our sister community.
